Team motivation profile

Purpose

The team motivation profile is a PowerPoint export with 16 slides. It shows the motivation profiles of the members of a team compared with the team average: a competency table, one slide for each of the six basic needs, and five charts on team dynamics, orientation, preferences, focus and implicit motives. The ideal role assignment and the team personality follow. For an overview of all PPT exports, see PPT exports.

Who can see this?

Administrators, as well as team leaders and users who have the Analyse permission in at least one team. The button belongs to the page Team › Team Profile of MatchLytics-Management, which is described under Team Profile. The page and the button only appear if the product is enabled for your account.

Create the export

Team Profile with team selection, tag filter and the Download PPT button

  1. Open Team › Team Profile in MatchLytics-Management. The page shows the charts of a team’s members, which are also the basis of the slides in the file.
  2. Select the desired team in the Team field (1). Administrators see all teams of the company there, other users the teams they lead; if they lead none, the teams in which they have the Analyse permission.
  3. If needed, select a tag in the Tags field (2). The list offers the tags of the members of the selected team, and with a tag the file contains only members with that tag.
  4. Click Download PPT (3). The system creates the file anew from the current motivation profiles when you click; this changes nothing in the system and sends no email.

The browser downloads the file TwentyFive_<team name>.pptx. The slides are created in the language of the user interface: English for an English interface, and also English for any language other than German. If the export finds no member, a separate message appears (see Which members the file contains). If the export fails for any other reason, “Export Failed” appears.

Which members the file contains

The selection matches the charts on the Team Profile page. Only the limit of 20 members applies to the file and not to the page.

  • Finished motivation profile: Only members with a finished motivation profile appear.
  • Name: Members without a name are left out. Blocked users appear without a name and are therefore missing, as on the page.
  • Tag: If you selected a tag in the Tags field, the file contains only the members with this tag. The filter applies after the members without a name have been removed. The team average on the slides applies to the filtered members. If no member with a motivation profile has the tag, the export creates no file and “No member with this tag has a motivation profile.” appears.
  • At most 20 members: The template holds at most 20 members. If more members are selected, the file contains the first 20; the team average and the team personality are calculated from these 20 only. The page then shows the note “The PowerPoint contains the first 20 members.” below the button. A tag narrows down the selection before the limit applies.
  • Equal names: If two members have the same name, the export appends " (2)" to the name of the second person so that every row and every bar is unique.
  • No member left: If no member is left after these rules, the export creates no file. “No team member has a motivation profile yet.” appears. The page shows “No data available”.

Slides

The slides appear in the order of the file. The headings match the slide titles of the template.

Team motivation profile

Slide 1: title slide of the team motivation profile

The title slide names the team and the creation date (“Generated on”, for example “2 October 2026”). It does not contain an evaluation yet.

Team members and competencies

Slide 2: table of members and competencies

The table has one row per member and one column per competency: Investigate, Supervise, Coordinate, Handle, Assist, Analyse, Construct, Execute, Model, Invent, Consult, Sell, Align, Motivate and Support. The values come from the member’s motivation profile and appear as whole numbers. Compare the values in a column to see who contributes the competency most strongly in the team.

Basic need for enforcement

Slide 3: basic need for enforcement

The chart shows each member’s value for the basic need of enforcement (red) compared with the team average. The texts explain what values below and above the team average mean, and describe the team average itself. Read off who pushes the team more strongly toward change and who tends to stabilize it. The basis is the basic needs.

Basic need for belonging

Slide 4: basic need for belonging

The slide shows the same view for the basic need of belonging (yellow). Values above the team average stand for members who strive more for integration and like to communicate. Values below the team average stand for members for whom adapting and communication are less important.

Basic need for security

Slide 5: basic need for security

The slide shows the basic need for security (green). Members above the team average are more likely to avoid risks and value preservation and consistency. Members below it rate flexibility higher than stability and continuity.

Basic need for recognition

Slide 6: basic need for recognition

The slide shows the basic need for recognition (blue). For members above the team average, quality, conscientiousness and positive feedback matter. For members below it, personal recognition and quality awareness are less pronounced.

Basic need for empathy

Slide 7: basic need for empathy

The slide shows the basic need for empathy (white). Members above the team average use their empathy to perceive holistically. For members below it, the need to empathize with those involved is less active.

Basic need for knowledge

Slide 8: basic need for knowledge

The slide shows the basic need for knowledge (black). For members above the team average, research, analysis and logical conclusions are more important. For members below it, the search for rational knowledge is less pronounced.

The dynamics in the team

Slide 9: the dynamics in the team

The chart sets Assertion (top) and Security (bottom) against Recognition (left) and Affiliation (right). Each member is a dot, and the team has a dot of its own. The four areas are called Development (top left), Motivation (top right), Specialization (bottom left) and Consultation (bottom right). The farther a dot is from the center, the more strongly the pole on that side prevails. The page Team Profile explains the charts in more detail.

Orientation in the evaluation of situations

Slide 10: orientation in the evaluation of situations

The chart sets Future (top) against Past (bottom) and Insight (left) against Empathy (right). It shows what the members tend to orient themselves by when they assess a situation. For more, see Orientation.

Preferences: Perceiving and deciding

Slide 11: preferences, perceiving and deciding

The chart sets Thinking (top) against Feeling (bottom) and Sensing (left) against Intuition (right). It shows how the members perceive and decide. For more, see Preferences.

Focusing on the completion of tasks

Slide 12: focusing on the completion of tasks

The chart sets Meaning (top) against Facts (bottom) and Process (left) against Goal (right). It shows what the members concentrate on when they complete tasks. For more, see Focus.

The implicit motives (driving forces)

Slide 13: the implicit motives

The chart sets Freedom (top) against Performance (bottom) and Power (left) against Contact (right). It shows which driving forces prevail among the members. For more, see Driving forces.

The ideal role assignment

Slide 14: the ideal role assignment

The horizontal axis lists nine team roles: Implementer, Developer, Entrepreneur, Motivator, Coordinator, Promoter, Specialist, Controller and Perfectionist. Each member is a dot and shows the role that suits their motivation profile best. The team has a dot of its own. The basic needs behind the roles are listed under Team Profile.

The team personality

Slide 15: the team personality

The slide averages the members’ motivation profiles into the motivation profile of the team. It names the motivation type that matches this average and shows the averaged profile as a chart.

Slide 16: contact slide

The last slide names your company and sense.AI.tion GmbH as the producer of the evaluation. The page PPT exports explains the name and logo of your company.

Notes

The export is not the Team Analysis: the export shows the charts of the team profile as a PowerPoint file, while the team analysis compares the members in the app and can be exported as an HTML file. The file names all included members. Share it only with people who need it for team development.
