Comparison of motivation profiles
Purpose
The comparison of motivation profiles export is a PowerPoint file with 12 slides. It places two profiles side by side and compares them on nine axes. A title slide, an introduction and one slide for each axis show how the two profiles differ and what matters when they work together. For an overview of all PPT exports, see PPT exports.
Who can see this?
Team leaders and administrators, if the product is enabled for your account. The button belongs to the Synergy Analysis page of MatchLytics-Management, which is described under Synergy Analysis.
Create the export

- Open the Synergy Analysis page in MatchLytics-Management. It compares two sources, and the slides of the file show the same values as the result there.
- Under 1. Select source (1), select the type of the first source in the Source field and the entry in the field next to it (2). You can choose Job profile, Motivation profile and Employee profile; an employee profile is the person’s current motivation profile.
- Select the second source in the same way under 2. Select source (3). The two sources may be of different types, for example a job profile and an employee profile.
- Click Analyze (4). The system compares the two sources and shows the result below the selection; only then is Download PPT active.
- Click Download PPT (5). The file contains the most recently analyzed pair, even if you changed the selection afterwards; it is created anew without changing anything in the system or sending an email.
After the download, “Export successful” appears; if an error occurs, “Export failed: …” appears.
The browser downloads the file TwentyFive_Diff.pptx. The slides are created in the language of the user interface: English for an English interface, and also English for any language other than German.
Source types
Each of the two sources is one of the three types in the Source field. The two sources may be of different types.
| Type | What is compared | Name on the slides |
|---|---|---|
| Job profile | a job profile template | name of the template |
| Motivation profile | one of the predefined motivation types | name of the motivation type |
| Employee profile | the current motivation profile of a person in your account | name of the person |
The slides show the same values and texts as the result on the Synergy Analysis page. The texts are written from the perspective of the first source. Swap the sources to get the perspective of the second source.
Reading the axis slides
Slides 3 to 11 share the same layout, one slide per axis:
- Title and balance: The title names the axis. The line below begins with “Balance:” and names the topic that results from balancing the two poles.
- Chart: It shows the value of the first source, the value of the second source and the difference (labeled “Diff.”). The difference is the value of the first source minus the value of the second. The bars start in the middle: a bar to the right points to the pole on the right, a bar to the left points to the pole on the left. The “Diff.” bar shows the distance between the two sources.
- Poles: The two poles stand to the left and right of the chart, each with two keywords.
- Texts: For each source there is a short assessment in the form “Name: text”. Below it is the text on the difference with notes for working together.
The size of the difference determines the text on the difference. The levels similar, slightly different and clearly different are explained on the page Synergy Analysis.
Slides
The slides appear in the order of the file. The headings match the slide titles of the template.
Comparison of motivation profiles

The title slide names the two compared profiles in the form “Name 1 | Name 2” and the creation date (“Generated on”, for example “2 October 2026”). The first source is on the left.
Introduction

The slide has a fixed text. It explains that there is always an opposite side to every need and every orientation, and works through an example: if we are drawn to red by 120 points and to green by 80 points, the red energy is 40 points stronger. In partnerships and in teams, people complement each other better the more they differ. The tips on the following slides relate to teamwork.
Red-Green

The axis contrasts Security (left: Ensuring order, Avoid risks) and Enforcement (right: Getting ahead, Strive for success). “Balance: Reliable actions” names what the balance of the two poles is about. The chart shows the value of both sources on this axis.
Blue-yellow

The axis contrasts Recognition (left: Ensuring quality, Individuality) and Affiliation (right: Adapt, Communication). “Balance: distribution of tasks, coordination” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Empathy vs. insight

The axis contrasts Empathy (left: Empathize, Emotionality) and Insight (right: Recognize reality, Rationality). “Balance: emotional intelligence” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Future vs. past

The axis contrasts The past (left: Experience, Continuity) and The future (right: Planning, Visions). “Balance: actively using experience” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Facts vs. sense

The axis contrasts Facts (left: Measurability, How questions) and Sense (right: Ideas + Culture, Why questions). “Balance: sensible design” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Perception: Sensing vs. intuition

The axis contrasts Sensing (left: rational, detailed perception) and Intuition (right: complex, holistic perception). “Balance: reflected ideas” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Decision: Feeling vs. thinking

The axis contrasts Feeling (left: Decisions with a good feeling) and Thinking (right: Well thought-out decisions). “Balance: sensible considerations” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Drive to act: Impulsiveness vs. self-control

The axis contrasts Self-control (left: Slow thinking, thoughtful, reflective) and Impulsiveness (right: Quick thinking, spontaneous, authentic). “Balance: Self-confidence” names what the balance of the two poles is about.
Action control: process vs. result

The axis contrasts Process (left: Situation perception, Target/actual deviations) and Result (right: Target focus, Perception of opportunities). “Balance: appropriate reactions” names what the balance of the two poles is about.

Notes
The comparison contains exactly two profiles. To compare all members of a team in pairs, use the Difference Matrix of the Team Analysis. Differences are not a rating: as the introduction explains, people complement each other better the more they differ.
