The evaluation determines two values for text sections:

• Positive
• Negative

For the overall result, the “negative” value is subtracted from the “positive”. A result below “0” thus indicates a negative mood, “0” expresses neutral and above “0” a positive mood.

For the evaluation, the sentences are assessed in their context. This context is decisive for determining a positive or negative result. Thus, what the author wanted to express and how he expressed it is evaluated.
