Focus

This level describes what we consciously pay attention to in our actions and decisions.

  • Meaning: we are focused on striving or doing something meaningful.

  • Emotions: We consciously take care of the feelings of those involved.

  • Facts: In everything we do, we want to perceive the facts.

  • Result: We must not lose sight of our goals.

  • Process: He who does not pay attention to the path will not reach his goal.

Sense: Finding and maintaining a sense of purpose in life allows for an alignment of opposing needs. When we agree on what our life should be about, ‘It’ releases forces. If all sides within us agree with this meaning, it reduces natural resistance and serves inner peace.

Emotions: Whatever we do or fail to do leads to feelings in all who are affected by it. Ultimately, it is emotions that determine our behavior and the reactions of those around us. Therefore, we should pay special attention to emotional effects when determining our goals and path.

Facts: Who is focused on facts, stands in reality. What is real, we can perceive, comprehend and calculate with all our senses. As a person to whom facts are important, I do not want to do without the emotions and the sense. But, this is to be clarified in the next step if necessary. First we have to look at what is fact.

Result: If we focus strongly motivating goals, this is especially useful for tasks that are strenuous and should only lead to results after a certain time. The way to get there should be manageable, so that we may be blurred, but at least we can see that we are on the right track.

Process: Most people with a high process orientation love quality, order and planning. They focus on the momentary situation and perceive many details of what is happening at the moment. In this way, problems or errors can be quickly identified so that processes can be intervened in or planning optimized if necessary.
