Settings
Purpose
Under Settings you see your own account data and, as an administrator, define the settings of your company: logo, language for documents and emails, and Deep-Check rhythm. Administrators also find the API key for connecting other systems here, and the utilization of the order volume.
Who can see this?
- All users see the User tab. You open it through the profile menu at the top right of the header and the Settings entry.
- Administrators also see the tabs Customer, Workflows, Import, Export and Academy.
- The Deep-Check rhythm section only appears if MatchLytics-Management is enabled for your account.
Layout

- Tabs User, Customer, Workflows, Import, Export and Academy – Divide the settings into six areas. All users see the User tab, only administrators see the other tabs.
- Name of your company – Serves as the heading of the tab and names the company for which you change the settings. If you have access to several companies, you switch the company in the profile menu.
- API-Key – Shows the key of the technical system user of your company in the System-User field. The symbol at the end of the field copies it to the clipboard; only administrators see the section.
- Order volume – The Orders bar shows how much of your order quota has been used. The tooltip gives the consumption and the quota, for example “12/100”.
- Upload logo – Here you pick the logo of your company, apply it with Save or remove it with Delete. The logo then appears in the menu, in the profile menu, in emails and in PPT exports.
- Language – Sets the document language in which the system writes emails for your company. The change is saved at once and leaves the interface language untouched.
- Deep-Check rhythm – Determines how often the weekly check becomes the Deep-Check, from every 2nd to every 8th calendar week. The selection applies to all users and appears only with MatchLytics-Management.
Functions
User
The User tab shows your account as the system keeps it: the name and the email address you use to sign in. Both values come from the user management of your company and cannot be changed here. All users reach the tab through the profile menu at the top right of the header and the Settings entry.

- User tab – Shows your account data and is open to all users. Only administrators see the other tabs of the settings.
- Settings card – Summarizes your account data in two locked fields. The system reads them from your user account.
- User name – Shows the name the system keeps for you, for example in user lists, and by which emails address you. The field is locked.
- E-Mail – Shows the address you use to sign in and to which the system sends your emails. This field is locked as well.
There is nothing to save. Your administrator makes changes, as described under Users.
API-Key
When your company is set up, it automatically receives a System-User. This is a technical user that you do not use to sign in to an application. Through its API-Key, other systems connect to the analysis capabilities of sense.AI.tion via the REST interface; the calls then run on behalf of your company. The Controlboard reads the key when you open the tab and shows it to administrators only.
To copy the key:
- Open Settings › Customer.
- In the API-Key section, click the symbol at the end of the System-User field.
- Shortly afterwards the confirmation Copied! appears. The key is now in your clipboard.
Copying changes nothing about the key and triggers no email. The Controlboard offers no function to renew the key.
Order volume
The order volume is the quota of orders that your company may trigger in the current period. Every order that an application creates for your company counts against it; once the quota is used up, the system accepts no new orders until it is renewed. The Order volume section shows the state in one bar, Orders; administrators see it in the Customer tab.
Move the mouse pointer over the bar to see the consumption so far in relation to the quota, for example “12/100”. The quota is renewed after a set period; the settings do not show the period. The bar only shows the state, you cannot change anything here.
Upload logo
The logo gives your company a face in the application and in what the system creates for you. It appears at the top left of the menu, in the profile menu next to the company name, in the header of emails such as reminders and invitations, and in the PPT exports. The image file comes from your computer; the system stores it as the logo of the company. A square image works best, and only administrators change the logo.
- Open Settings › Customer.
- In the Upload logo section, click the image area or drag an image file onto it. Allowed formats: *.png, *.jpeg, *.jpg, *.gif.
- Click Save. The message “Logo has been uploaded” confirms the upload.
When saving, the application scales the image down to at most 512 × 512 pixels and stores it as PNG. With Delete you remove the logo again, without a confirmation prompt; the message “Logo has been removed” confirms this. Without a logo, the Controlboard shows a placeholder symbol. You can undo either step at any time by uploading a logo again; no email is sent. Emails that have already been sent keep their look.
Language
The language in the Language section is the document language of your company. The system writes emails such as invitations and reminders from workflows in it, unless an email template specifies its own language; Language of the template describes the order. It applies to all users of the company; the interface stays unchanged. Only administrators set it.
- Open Settings › Customer.
- In the Language section, choose one of the seven languages: German, English, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian or Korean.
The change is saved immediately; the message “Language changed successfully.” confirms it. It affects only future emails, can be switched back at any time and triggers no email. The page Localization and Language describes the difference to the interface language and the effect.
Deep-Check rhythm
The weekly check is the short weekly survey in MatchLytics-Management; at a fixed rhythm it becomes the detailed Deep-Check with flow questions. The rhythm applies to the whole company and to all users alike: the Deep-Check falls in every calendar week whose number is divisible by the chosen value. Flow values and the flow analysis in the Team Barometer come only from the Deep-Check. Only administrators see the section, and only if MatchLytics-Management is enabled for your account.
- Open Settings › Customer.
- In the Deep-Check rhythm field, choose a value from “every 2 weeks” to “every 8 weeks”. Without a setting, “every 4 weeks” applies.
- The change is saved immediately; the message “Deep-Check rhythm changed successfully.” confirms it.
In between, the Team Barometer shows the latest Deep-Check. The change affects the weekly checks that follow, can be switched back at any time and triggers no email. Read more about the process under SituationFit and Weekly Check and Team Barometer.
Other tabs
The remaining tabs of the settings are separate pages of this documentation because they build on users, teams and templates. Workflows control when the system sends reminders, Import and Export bring data into or out of the system as CSV, and the Academy defines mandatory courses. Only administrators see these tabs.
- Workflows: Workflows
- Import and Export: Import and export
- Academy: Academy and mandatory courses
Notes
Do not pass the API key on to third parties, and do not store it in publicly accessible files or scripts. Anyone who knows the key can access your company through the interface.
Invoices are no longer part of the Controlboard.
