MediatorRelationship

As a complement to one’s own personality, it is important for the mediator to have a partner who is able to commit to the common concerns while attending to a rational understanding of complex, emotional contexts. Rational knowledge, logical thinking, and openness and emotionality are important to the needs for insight and empathy. Everything that is expressed in an emotionally diffuse way or comes across as “emotionally cold” is perceived as confusing. It is also good for the partnership to appreciate feelings as well as facts appropriately. The mediator needs emotional openness and rational truth.
